I wonder how they think up those little poem-type things to show the fonts? Some of them are really quite pretty. Completely nonsensical but pretty nontheless.

I have a suspicion that they're "generated" rather than thought up. Have a vague recollection of reading about a program that does it.
But I don't think that takes anything away from their charm, it just means they're charming in a randomly generated by a computer kind of way.
(And then again, I could be talking utter rubbish).
That's a shame, it's be a great job! You're right though, it doesn't take away from their charm. It almost adds to their poetic effect because you could attach any meaning to them and you'd never be 'wrong'.
